Who are the people who have shaped Culturistics principles and methodology?
Principal
Mike Clargo

Since the beginning, Mike has been a consistent innovator in this field. In 1992, he pioneered the use of design thinking at an enterprise level. He published his work in the 2002 book Managing by Design. Five years later, he pioneered the use of cultural maturity models in workshops. These were created to enable leadership teams to better define and manage their culture. In 2000, he developed a facilitative leadership course to increase inclusion and engagement. And in 2005, he pioneered the use of canvasses and participative online whiteboards in virtual meetings. In 2016, he collated Meeting Toolchest, a free resource for better engaging people in participative meetings. And in 2021 he developed a series of groundbreaking partnership workshops based on information landscaping.
The focus of his work and ideas has been, and continues to be: Better engaging human spirit and potential in pursuing shared meaningful visions. But he has not done this alone …
Strategic Advisors
Throughout our 30 years development and growth, we (and our clients) have been blessed by the insights and efforts of a team of advisors. These have played a pivotal role in shaping our tools and techniques. And in refining our approaches into Culturistics range of powerful solutions
Juergen Maier

Juergen was a key influence in developing our Strategy Engagement Framework. He played a key role in trialling the original concept. And then refining it into the powerful tool it is today. An advocate for facilitative approaches to management, he helped shape and pilot our facilitative leadership programme. This has had a powerful impact on leadership style and employee engagement across the broad industrial secotor. His work on culture has played a big part in embracing diversity and inclusion for better business outcomes.
Dilip Popat

His expertise spans across building strategic partnerships and in developing a customer success capability. He was a major contributor to Microsoft’s global strategies across international markets. He has been the primary influence in the application of the Strategy Engagement Framework to alliances and partnerships. Both in retail and in the tech industry. His work in this area has led to the integration of cultural maturity models strategies to build deeper strategy ownership within clients. He also pioneered the application of Insight Landscaping within a partnership context, ensuring deeper relationships and more ambitious goals. Dilip was also centrally involved in the development of how these approaches can operate in the digital world. This was based on our work on virtual workshops, which became critical for Business during the pandemic.
Clare Holden

Clare was also the key influence behind our Walk and Talk process. A helpful coaching and visioning process for unpacking difficult problems and developing innovative solutions to address them.
Dietmar Harteveld

Dietmar was also fundamental to the development and trialling of our original Virtual Facilitation training back in 2010 – before people even realised we needed it. As a result his whole team could effect powerful workshops with international colleagues, customers and suppliers whenever required. He has also been instrumental in developing and applying our Cultural Maturity Models to establish a better, more robust culture. And in developing the Walk and Talk process to develop stronger team relationships.
